Carson Mccullers
Nació en Columbus, Georgia, en 1917, y murió en Nueva York, en 1967, de un ataque al corazón, a la temprana edad de cincuenta años. Su producción narrativa, publicada íntegramente en Seix Barral, comprende los siguientes títulos: El corazón es un cazador solitario (1940; Seix Barral, 1989), convertido inmediatamente en un clásico de la novela contemporánea, Reflejos en un ojo dorado (1941; Seix Barral, 1958), Frankie y la boda (1946; Seix Barral, 1960), La balada del café triste (1951; Seix Barral, 1958) y Reloj sin manecillas (1961; Seix Barral, 1963).
